Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The Free plan never asks for one. Pro comes with a one-time 14-day trial that also needs no card; when it ends your account falls back to Free unless you choose to buy. Nothing becomes read-only.

What counts as a widget?

Accepted Answer

A widget is one saved embed configuration: one Microsoft Bookings page, one template and its styling, tracking IDs and data settings. You can place the same widget on as many pages and sites as you like. Business allows 50, which suits agencies and multi-location teams that run one widget per calendar, brand or site.

Do I still need Microsoft Bookings?

Accepted Answer

Yes. BookingsXP complements Microsoft Bookings rather than replacing it. Your services, staff, availability and the bookings themselves stay in Microsoft. Microsoft still sends the confirmation, the invite and the reminders, and the appointment lands in Outlook and Teams as it does today.

Can I cancel any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Paid plans are monthly or yearly and you can cancel from the billing page. When a paid term ends, the account falls back to Free and the Free plan's limits apply. Microsoft Bookings keeps every appointment either way, because that is where they live.

What happens to my data if I downgrade or leave?

Accepted Answer

Stored bookings are optional and off by default. If you switched them on, they are kept for your plan's retention period (30 days on Free, 12 months on Pro, 24 months on Business) and you can export them as CSV on Pro and Business or erase them at any time. The appointments themselves always live in Microsoft Bookings.

Is yearly billing cheaper?

Yes. Yearly is ten times the monthly price, so two months are free: Pro is $190 a year and Business is $490 a year. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax or VAT that applies where you are.

Question 7

Do the Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn conversions need their own tags?

Accepted Answer

The widget fires those conversions through the tags already on your page (gtag, the Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag). You add the conversion IDs to the widget in the dashboard; BookingsXP does not load a second copy of any ad tag. GA4 and dataLayer events are on every plan, including Free.
